Prop firm trade copier: trade one account, copy it to every evaluation

Running several prop firm accounts means placing the same trade over and over — and one missed click leaves an account out of sync. CopyFlock is a prop firm trade copier that fixes that: you trade one lead account, and every fill is copied to your other evaluations and funded accounts across Tradovate, Rithmic and TopstepX.

Each follower has its own size, symbol mapping and drawdown protection, so a $50K evaluation and a $150K funded account can follow the same lead while staying inside their own limits. Everything runs in the cloud, with no VPS and no add-on in your trading platform.

  • Apex, Topstep, Tradeify, Bulenox, Earn2Trade and more
  • Different size and caps for every account
  • Equity thresholds that flatten and pause a follower
  • Copy across firms and platforms

Why prop traders use a trade copier

Prop firm evaluations reward consistency. If you are working on three or five evaluations at once, you want them all to take the same trade at the same moment with the right size for each account. Doing that by hand is slow, and the accounts drift apart the first time you fat-finger a quantity or miss an exit.

A trade copier turns that into one decision. You focus on the lead account; CopyFlock handles the copies. Because followers can be at different firms and on different platforms, you can spread your evaluations across firms without changing how you trade.

Prop firms and platforms CopyFlock works with

CopyFlock connects to the platform your firm gives you. The firms below are ones our users copy with today. CopyFlock is independent and not endorsed by any of them.

How to set up copying across prop accounts

  1. Step 1: Pick your lead

Choose the account you will actually trade. It can be an evaluation, a funded account or a personal brokerage account.

  2. Step 2: Connect every account

Add each account with its platform's connect method: Tradovate via OAuth sign-in, Rithmic via username, password and system, TopstepX via username and ProjectX API key.

  3. Step 3: Size each follower

Use a contract multiplier of 1 for identical account sizes, equity-to-equity for different sizes, or fixed contracts when a firm caps your position.

  4. Step 4: Add caps and protection

Set maximum contracts per follower and per symbol, then add equity thresholds below each account's drawdown limit.

  5. Step 5: Test, then trade

Run a one-contract test on the lead and check the copy log. Your 7-day free trial covers 2 accounts, which is enough to test a lead and one follower.

Protecting evaluations from the lead's bad day

The biggest risk of copying is that one losing day hits every account at once. Account protection gives each follower its own floor and ceiling. When the follower's balance or equity crosses a threshold you set, CopyFlock flattens its positions and pauses copying to it, while the lead and other followers carry on.

Example: a $50,000 evaluation with a $2,000 drawdown limit and a $3,000 profit target
Equity minimum
$48,200 — flattens and pauses with a $200 buffer before the firm's limit
Equity maximum
$53,000 — stops trading once the profit target is reached

Thresholds are fixed levels you set. If your firm uses a trailing drawdown, the firm's limit moves as your balance grows, so review and raise your minimum as the account progresses. Treat protection as a safety net, not a replacement for watching your rules.

Sizing example: one 50K lead, five followers at three firms

Lead (Apex 50K, Rithmic) buys 2 NQ
Apex 50K #2 — multiplier 1
2 NQ
Apex 50K #3 — multiplier 1
2 NQ
Bulenox 50K — multiplier 1, max 2
2 NQ
Topstep 50K — fixed contracts 1
1 NQ
Tradeify 25K — alias NQ→MNQ ×5
2 × 5 = 10 MNQ (half the lead's exposure)

Five followers plus the lead is six accounts. Every follower's size is decided by its own settings, so one account's limit never forces you to trade smaller on the rest.

Prop firm rules: what to check first

Firms set their own rules on trade copiers and change them from time to time. Before you copy, read the current rules in your firm's help center and look for:

  • Whether trade copiers are allowed, and whether copying between accounts you own is allowed.
  • Limits on how many accounts you can hold or trade at once.
  • Rules on holding opposite positions across accounts (hedging) — relevant if you use reverse trades.
  • Consistency, news-trading and position-size rules that apply per account.
  • Rules about copying someone else's trades or signals, which are often treated differently from copying yourself.

Our guide to prop firm copy trading rules goes through these in more detail. CopyFlock gives you the tools; following your firm's rules is your responsibility.

Frequently asked questions

Still have questions? Read the full FAQ or email support.

Is using a trade copier allowed by prop firms?

Many futures prop firms allow copying between accounts you own, but not all, and rules change. Always check your firm's current rules before you start. CopyFlock is not endorsed by any prop firm.

Can I copy between different prop firms?

Yes. A lead at one firm can copy to followers at others, across Tradovate, Rithmic and TopstepX.

Can each follower have a different size?

Yes. Every follower has its own sizing mode, contract caps, symbol aliases and protection thresholds.

What happens when a follower hits its drawdown threshold?

If you set an equity or balance minimum under account protection, CopyFlock flattens that follower and pauses copying to it. The lead and other followers are not affected. Resume it from the dashboard when you are ready.

Does CopyFlock have a daily loss limit?

There is no separate daily loss limit setting. Use account protection thresholds on balance or equity to stop a follower at a level you choose.

How much does it cost to copy five prop accounts?

A lead plus five followers is six accounts: 6 × $8 = $48 per month, or 6 × $80 = $480 per year. Use the pricing calculator for other counts.
