How copying from Rithmic to NinjaTrader works

Your lead is a Rithmic account you trade in R|Trader Pro or another Rithmic front end, and your followers are accounts you usually trade in NT8 — a NinjaTrader brokerage account, or Lucid and Take Profit Trader accounts. CopyFlock copies the Rithmic lead to each of them.

The Rithmic lead

The Rithmic lead connects with the username, password and system your firm gives you. Trade it from R|Trader Pro, NinjaTrader 8 on a Rithmic connection or any other Rithmic front end; R|Trader Pro can stay open on the same login while CopyFlock is connected.

The NinjaTrader followers

Follower orders land on the account behind NinjaTrader, so NT8 shows the copied position like any other order on that account. NinjaTrader does not have to be running for followers to fill, and no ATM strategy manages a copied position — turn on copy TP/SL so followers carry their own stop and target.

How to copy trades from Rithmic to NinjaTrader

   Step 1: Start a free trial

   Create a CopyFlock account and start the 7-day free trial on 2 accounts — one Rithmic lead and one NinjaTrader follower. A card is required; cancel during the trial and you pay nothing.

   Step 2: Connect the Rithmic lead

   Choose Add account → Rithmic, enter the Rithmic username and password and pick the system your firm uses — the same details you enter in R|Trader Pro.

   Step 3: Connect the NinjaTrader followers

   Add each account you trade in NT8 by the connection behind it: Tradovate for NinjaTrader brokerage and Tradovate prop accounts, Rithmic for prop accounts on a Rithmic login.

   Step 4: Create the copy

   Pick the Rithmic account as the lead and the NinjaTrader accounts as followers. Choose a sizing mode for each follower: contract multiplier 1 for the same size, equity ratio for accounts of different sizes, or fixed contracts.

   Step 5: Add caps and protection

   Set a maximum contract cap and balance or equity thresholds that fit each NinjaTrader account's rules. Reaching a threshold flattens and pauses that follower.

   Step 6: Test with one contract

   Place a one-contract trade on the Rithmic lead and confirm each follower's order in the copy log. During the trial, followers copy a fixed 1 contract.

Things to know before copying Rithmic to NinjaTrader

• Followers fill after the lead. Each follower order is sent once the lead's fill is reported, so follower prices can differ slightly, especially with market orders in fast markets.
• Manual changes stay manual. If you close a follower by hand, it stays closed and joins in again with the lead's next trade.
• Symbols copy as they are. A NinjaTrader follower trades the lead's contract unless you add a symbol alias, for example NQ to MNQ.
• Futures only. CQG, Quantower and Volumetrica connections are not supported.
• Prop firm rules come first. Check that every firm involved allows copying between your own accounts — see prop firm copy trading rules.
